The Milonovich Family visits the Lone Star State
Chloe and Kaden performing synchronized sliding.

Out on the town for dinner. We're suckers for any establishment with a playscape.

The Farmer's Market at the Triangle

We're so fortunate to be able to visit our friend Peggy every Wednesday. She sells mushrooms at the local market.

NIGHT AT THE BALLGAME

We had a great time at the local AAA baseball game - the Round Rock Express. It has a lot of fun kids activities (playscape, bouncey castle, climbing wall and even a pool!) We watched maybe an inning and a half, but thoroughly enjoyed the fireworks after the game.

MORE 4TH FUN!
Aunt Nancy - Papa wanted to know if this was reminiscent of Seagraves, Texas?

Kaden's fireworks show

Much to Papa's dismay, he's a pyro like his mom

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!

We had a great 4th, celebrating with a bbq, watermelon and fireworks. The Austin floods let up for a few hours of sunshine. Thanks for joining us Grannie & Papa and Ahrey & Tricia!

Bat-watching at the Congress Avenue Bridge in Austin

Every night between March and October in downtown Austin, almost a million Mexican free-tailed bats emerge from under the bridge, hunting for dinner. It is estimated they consume from 10,000 to 30,000 pounds of insects every night. We had to curtail our evening because Kennedy got sick. (Worthy of another posting, but we'll spare you the details.) Instead you can enjoy a pic from Kaden's light show. Check out this site for pics of what we would have seen:

Saturday fun in downtown Austin

Checked out the Farmer's Market. Kaden participated in a watermelon eating contest. Then, we had to cool off in the fountains. Hard to see in the pic, but Kaden has donned a blue bandaid. He had an altercation at school last week while playing "spiderman."

Out and about in our new city - A-town...

Took a little hike to the highest point in Austin. (Okay Rockies friends & family, don't laugh.) At 775 feet you have incredible views of the city and Town Lake (it's actually the Colorado River).

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!
We spent the weekend in Houston with Grannie & Papa. Lots of watermelon and swimming.

Kennedy is turning into quite the fish.

Swimming and watermelon...life doesn't get much better. Plus all you have to do is jump in to clean off.

Even Dad enjoyed it!

Life's too short not to live it as a Texan...so here we are!

Yeah! Or should I say, "YEE-HAW!"

We're finally Texans. But first on our trip south we made a stop in Tennessee to see our nephew graduate from high school.
Congratulations, Patrick!
